If you’ve booked a home installation with Amber, firstly, thank you for your custom, and secondly, we encourage you to have a read of this guide into how we will execute it so you know what to anticipate.

We’ll cover the preparation steps, advise of what you can do to assist us, and tell you about our aftersales in case you need Amber’s support in the future.

Very little can go wrong when everything is put in place beforehand, which it is certain to be if Amber is involved.

Before the Project: Fundamentals & Forward Planning

To kickoff a project, figure out a costing and uncover what approach to take, we need to conduct an initial site survey.

It’s after you order that the full survey will be completed. This is a more substantial inspection of the work location, and when we’ll measure up properly, pinpoint any difficulties etc., so that we can get straight to installing when we arrive.

Where planning consent and building regulations approval is required, Amber will explain how an application is made and help with its organisation.

During the Project: Our Installation Process

A knock on your front door will come at the pre-warned time and each installer will offer a friendly greeting before going through the important details of the installation process. Work will start once all the relevant checks are done.

All safety precautions will be followed to protect the welfare of everyone and can we politely ask that young children and pets aren’t allowed to enter the work zone.

Surfaces will remain dust-free as we apply dust sheets to them prior to commencing the project and any mess generated will be cleaned up in advance of us leaving.

After the Project: Presentation & Customer Care

At its conclusion, you’ll be summoned to inspect your newly added enhancement to check that it matches your requirements.

After granting authorisation, the 20-year guarantee will be placed into your possession – a guide to product maintenance can be viewed and downloaded here.

Mention of aftercare is included in the guarantee, available to all Amber customers when they need any kind of assistance, whether it’s just a question or notifying us that a product error has occurred.
