How To Achieve A Summery Feeling Inside Of Your Home
May was a bit of a damp squib, in terms of the weather, but June has been much nicer, and let’s hope for a lot more of it over the next few months.
You may agree that sunny, warm weather, with longer days, does tend to help you feel like you have more energy than you would on a damp, cold, short winter’s day.
So, while summer is here, capitalise on it at home by trying to bring in as much summer weather as you can. Your mind and body will feel great for it.
Here is how to give the sun a welcome invite indoors:
Clean your windows
You won’t get anywhere near as much sun inside your house as you should if your windows are grubby and dirty. So keep on top of cleaning them, both internally and externally.
We also suggest removing any thick curtains as even when they’re open, they may be preventing a good amount of light from coming in. It’d be better to hang up thinner, lighter curtains.
Does your house get too hot in a heatwave? Look into a window upgrade as the latest double or triple glazed windows will include energy efficient glass.
Install bi-folding doors
Cleaning your windows alone may not bring in as much light as you like. That’s when you could look at installing a bi-folding door, a product that’s largely made up of glass.
Aluminium bi-folding doors can contain as many as 7 sections, if you have the wall space to accommodate them, and they will provide you with a stunning external view.
Whenever they’re open, partially or fully, they will add an outdoor feel to your indoor space, and the ventilation that comes from that will also make you feel like you’re outside.
Add some nature
We really feel for anyone who doesn’t have a garden or some form of outdoor space closeby in these times, but it is possible to bring in nature. You can do it with the use of houseplants.
People have gone crazy for houseplants over the last year and been adding succulents, ferns and orchids to their countertops, floors and tables. Why not follow suit?
Houseplants will also be good for your health. How? They will eradicate any air pollutants, making indoor air cleaner, and this, in turn, will help relieve stress and make you happier, according to science.
Right now, you can make massive Summer Savings on lots of our products, including bi-folding doors and energy efficient windows. You’ll need to be quick to take advantage of them though! Visit our Special Offers page now.
