Amber Is A FENSA Member, So You’re Assured Of Quality
The double glazing industry is very congested in terms of the sheer number of window and door specialists there are in the UK. But not all of these window and door companies are accredited by a respected Competent Person Scheme, of which there are several. By far the biggest and most recognised of these schemes is the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme (FENSA).
You may have seen FENSA advertised on the TV in recent times, with a consumer-led ad campaign that was launched to make more homeowners aware of the importance of choosing a FENSA approved installation company.
Established in 2002, it is a government authorised scheme, responsible for regulating double glazing businesses.
To gain a FENSA accreditation, companies have to demonstrate total excellence in multiple areas under the scrutiny of FENSA’s assessment team. When accepted onto the scheme, you must then consistently sustain those high standards as FENSA can very easily revoke the membership status of any company they perceive to have let their standards to drop.
A FENSA installer also ensures that every window and door installation they complete is done in full compliance with building regulations, energy efficient, and certified with a local council.
Only by appointing one of the elite group of FENSA approved installers do you receive a FENSA certificate, along with an Insurance Backed Guarantee.
This certificate acts as confirmation that an installation has been sufficiently certified and the job has been done right. If you opt not to use a FENSA approved installer, it will be your responsibility to certify the installation with your local building control team, costing you both time and money.
Amber Home Improvements is FENSA accredited, and very proud to be too! We like to shout about it as much as we can to customers as it tells you that we can be trusted with your money and your home.
There is an Accreditations section on our About Us page if you want to know more about why it’s in your best interests to use a FENSA installer.
