How To Create A Picture Perfect Front Door For Instagram

How To Create An Insta-Worthy Front Door

Homeowners seem to be giving their front doors a lot more attention nowadays than they perhaps used to. We can only assume they are because they want to firstly enhance the visual appeal of their properties, and also make their front doors worthy of an Instagram post.

You only need to click on the hashtags #frontdoor and #frontdoors on Instagram to see the lengths some people go to with their doors, and many of these stylish doors earn hundreds of ‘likes’.

They’re a good source of inspiration if you want to pretty up your own front door and make it just as Insta-worthy.  One of the most trendy ways is to hire Balustrade Installations and install glass fences or balustrades, which instantly catches the eye.

Amber is also armed with advice on how to ensure your front door goes down a storm on the social media platform.

Coloured finish

The overall design of the door is obviously important, and so is the colour you choose for it, whether you’re intending to repaint your existing door or get a new door installed.

The UK’s door population is largely made up of grey, white and black-coloured doors, but you will find lots of adventurous colour choices on our streets, such as Chartwell Green, aubergine and Duck Egg Blue.

A few pink doors are in existence too, and it’s a colour that can work. However, it’s definitely not for everyone.

Door wreath

Many of the most well-liked front doors on Instagram have a door wreath, which you may have mistakenly thought were only meant for Christmas.

You can find instructions and details of what you need to make your own on the Internet, if you fancy giving it a go, or just get a premade wreath, that’s either real or fake. A summer wreath will normally have colours like red, orange and pink within it.

Change your door wreath each quarter to keep your door looking on trend in summer, autumn, winter and spring.

Plants

Some of the front doors you see with wreaths on them will also have planters displayed on both sides of the door.

The favoured form of planter for front doors tends to be twin potted bay trees, and they do add a classy touch, as well as draw extra emphasis to a door.

If you are a forgetful sort, you would be best choosing low-maintenance plants for your planters or hanging baskets as they will need very little watering.
