Wild Wonder™ – Dulux Colour of the Year
An updated colour scheme could be just the ticket for your property and it was recently revealed by Dulux that their colour for 2023 is ‘Wild Wonder™’, a decision made on the basis of it being “inspired by the natural world”.
The most delicate green shade, Wild Wonder™ also gained their approval for having an obvious nature-inspired undercurrent, which they also recognised would help us to be more mindful of nature outside whilst in our indoor spaces.
No room is off limits when it comes to integrating the colour as it’s so soft and warm, but it will be most at home in kitchens, bedrooms and home offices.
Unconventionally shaped rugs
A few new floor coverings around the house can freshen things up and this year it will see standard circular, square and rectangular rugs make way for rugs in curved, angular and geometric shapes.
Add one to your conservatory design and you’ll see that it has a massive visual impact and guests definitely won’t miss it.
Be a creative free-spirit and rip up the rulebook with your rugs.
Social spaces
Covid rules were relaxed quite some time ago, permitting us to once again have large numbers of people in our homes, but it will be this year when the social space makes a full-on comeback.
Host proceedings in your kitchen if it includes an island and breakfast bar so that the conversation can flow freely as your guests take it easy and you play chef.
Take it into the conservatory, orangery, home extension later on should you have it lovingly styled, sufficiently heated and well-lit for the nighttime.
