A tried and tested conservatory roofing system…

Replacement

If you still have a traditional roofing system attached to your conservatory then there will likely come a time when it no longer provides the level of thermal efficiency that it did at the time of the original installation. Instead of giving on the conservatory and no longer utilising it as some people do, give it a new life and exchange the roof for a solid roof and its exemplary performance.

Conservatories

When you commission a conservatory installation through Amber our team will talk you through every single element of the design and at some point they will give mention to the solid roof. There is a huge quantity of conservatories that presently have a solid roof attached to them such is its proven quality when it comes to thermal insulation. Another reason why it might appeal to you is because it can be fitted incredibly quickly, but just because it can be integrated at a rapid pace doesn’t diminish its quality, far from it. The reason why it can so quickly be included is due to the glazed facets of the conservatory design and the absence of full height brick walls and a standard roof wrapper.

Orangeries

Keen to have a solid roof incorporated into your orangery? The double-ended Edwardian configured orangery is ideally suited to a solid roof installation. Its inclusion won’t make a huge visual impact but you will notice is how much warmer the orangery feels throughout the door, particularly if you include mounted spotlights or centre pivot windows.

Extensions

A solid roof installation isn’t limited to just conservatories and orangeries as it can also be incorporated into many other forms of home extension. We offer two types of solid roof covering; lightweight tiles and lightweight slates. They both come in an array of colourful finishes and perform exceptionally well.

Porches

Just because you don’t spend much time inside your porch doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t offer superb energy efficiency. When in its surrounds you want it to feel cosy and a Warm Roof installation will provide it with the necessary warmth. Because a porch is so sleek the roof can be fitted in no time.

An investment that will massively justify itself…

Insulation

A conservatory is no good to you and your family if at certain times of the year it either becomes too hot or too cold. You should be able to revel within its confines whenever you get the urge and a solid roof will help. The reason why it offers such fantastic insulation is because it is made using an insulated plywood and rigid insulation board.

Solid Look & Feel

It will be impossible not to feel the impact a solid roof has on the entire feel of your conservatory so good is it at restoring energy efficiency and restoring the internal ambience back to how it should be. You will lose a tiny amount of natural light due to its presence, but light will still pour through the windows and doors. You can’t help but be impressed by how authentic our solid roof tiles and slates look as we’ve dedicated a considerable amount of time into their creation to ensure that they exhibit all the aesthetic characteristics of the real thing.

Simple Fit

The prefabrication of our solid roofs is hugely advantageous as it enables us to fit them to conservatories quickly and efficiently. Our team of fitters and installers will have it into position in no time at all.

Two types of internal finish…

Painted plasterboard will appeal to those who crave a traditional appearance and a timeless finish that you never tire of looking at. But you can do something a little more dramatic such as having a timber clad finish will emits warmth and has a rich texture to it that will liven up the entire structure in the most spectacular way imaginable. It really comes into its own during the dark winter months and can be further enhanced when you include centre pivoting timber roof windows in the design to create a ‘cabin-style’ effect.

Centre pivot windows are a great accompaniment…

We would never deny that the installation of a Warm Roof will lead to the loss of a certain amount of natural sunlight but it shouldn’t be something that over concerns you as there’s a ready-made solution to the issue. The inclusion of one or two roof windows in the solid roof will enable you to draw the light of the sun into the structure to the extent were it may feel even brighter than it did before. They will also be invaluable for ventilation purposes.

Reliable roof tiles that last…

You’re assured of a Warm Roof you can have confidence in whether you choose to have lightweight slates or lightweight tiles as they’re both immensely strong and have all the ingredients needed to last. Even the weather won’t be able to get the better of them particularly as they’re weather-resistant and can face up to any type of conditions over a prolonged period.

Lightweight Tile

When replacing a conservatory roof you don’t want to be left hanging around waiting for the new replacement to be installed and you won’t be when you elect to have our lightweight tiles fitted. They can be installed speedily and come in finishes of charcoal, red, green, umber and ebony.

Lightweight Slate

You can’t beat the look of traditional slate but once it starts to become brittle you’re left fighting a losing battle trying to restore it back to its former state. There will be no such problems to face up to with our lightweight slate as it is completely weather-resistant and can be left alone to perform with any need for maintenance. It comes in 20 colour options including pewter grey, stone, plum, black and brick red.

Turn your solid roof into something striking…

For a solid roof to look at ease with the rest of your home it is important that you choose a set of roof tiles that are complementary to those that sit on top of the property. We have a range of roof tile finishes that look extremely stylish and offer a surprising amount of durability and toughness.
